Chester Rural Mid-Monthly Update
September 2015
 
Welcome to the September Mid-Monthly Update. Please circulate this to any residents/community members who are not registered with Cheshire Alert and highlight the advantages of signing up with us in the future.
As well as the regular Cheshire Alert updates, please be aware of further rural information on the Chester Local Policing Unit twitter page (@PoliceChester) and the Cheshire Police website (www.cheshire.police.uk).

Elton Ward
On 08/09/15 we received calls of anti-social behaviour caused by youths on pedal cycles on Pool Lane, Elton. A number of youths were identified and strongly advised. Your local officers take anti-social behavior very seriously. Please contact Cheshire Police on 101 with any further issues.  
Between 09/09/15 and 12/09/15, we received a number of calls of off-road motorbikes on the Paddock, Elton. Local officers are aware and will increase patrols in the area.
Overnight between 13/09/15 and 14/09/15 a vehicle was damaged on Ince Lane, Elton. Please contact Cheshire Police on 101 with any information.

Chester Villages Ward
Between 01/09/15 and 04/09/15, two burglary offences occurred in the Guilden Sutton area. The burglary offences occurred at a building site office and an electric sub-station. Patrols have been increased in the area. Please contact us on 101 with any information.
Overnight between 11/09/15 and 12/09/15, two burglary offences occurred in the Littleton and Christleton areas. During both offences, sheds have been entered and high value bikes stolen. Please be vigilant and call police with any suspicious activity.

Frodsham Ward
Overnight between 13/09/15 and 14/09/15, a number of insecure vehicles were entered on Arran Drive, Elm Rise, Hillside Road and Watersedge. On the same night, offenders attempted to enter a shed on Doric Avenue. Local patrols have been increased. Please ensure that your vehicles are locked and secure with no valuable items on view.
On the evening of 16/09/15, a pedal cycle was stolen from outside the Travellers Rest public house. Please ensure all pedal cycles are secured if left unattended.
Local officers continue to patrol the Frodsham/Helsby areas following reports of drug dealing in the area. Please contact us on 101 with any information. 

Helsby Ward
Following reports of drug dealing,in the Helsby area, officers have arrested and charged a male with supply of class B controlled drugs following a stop check in the Vicarage Lane area. Local patrols have also stopped a number of vehicles and recovered small amounts of cannabis. Cannabis warnings have been issued.
Following an increase in anti-social behaviour and criminal damage in the area of Helsby Library, local officers have increased patrols and are currently making enquiries to identify the offenders.

Kingsley Ward
In the first week of September, a number of theft and criminal damage incidents were reported at Sutton Fields Driving Range and Sutton Hall Golf Club. Patrols have increased in this area and local residents are advised to be vigilant.
At 04:00hrs on 12/09/15, a white pick-up van was sighted in suspicious circumstances on Orchard Gate, Kingsley.  Please contact us on 101 if you have sighted any similar incidents involving this vehicle. 

Gowy Ward
In the early hours of 01/09/15 a vehicle was broken in to on Manley Lane and golf clubs stolen. Please ensure that all valuable items are out of view.
In the early hours of 13/09/15 a suspicious vehicle was stopped by local officers in the Stamford Bridge area. A small amount of cannabis was recovered and the offender was issued with a cannabis warning.
On 14/09/15 some solar lights were stolen from a driveway on Brookside, Ashton Hayes. Please contact us on 101 if any suspicious activity was witnessed. 

Tarvin and Kelsall Ward
On 01/09/15, local officers were made aware of anti-social behaviour in the Delamere Forest area caused by youths on mopeds. Local PCSO Ryan Reid is making enquiries to locate these youths.
Local officers are aware of issues with speeding on Station Road, Delamere. Speed guns will be deployed in the area and positive action will be taken by police.
Overnight between 05/09/15 and 06/09/15 a caravan was stolen from Station Road, Oakmere. An Ifor Williams flat bed trailer was also stolen from Bypass Road, Tarvin on the morning of 08/09/15. Local patrols have been increased and please contact us on 101 if any suspicious behaviour is witnessed.   

Farndon Ward
On 02/09/15 a number of items of golf clothing were stolen from Carden Park Golf Club. Police enquiries are ongoing.
Local officers are aware of an increase in reports of poaching in the area and will be increasing night time patrols and dealing with those responsible robustly. Please report any suspicious behavior to us on 101.

Tattenhall Ward
In the early hours of 09/09/15 a black 4x4 vehicle was sighted in suspicious circumstances on Tattenhall Lane. Please be vigilant and contact us with any information on 101.
In the early hours of 14/09/15 a shed was broken in to on High Street, Tattenhall. Please contact us with any information on 101.

Malpas Ward
On 01/09/15 an aircraft reported having a light shone at it from the Malpas area. This is an offence and police will deal with those responsible robustly. Enquiries are ongoing to identify the address of the offender(s).  
Overnight between 04/09/15 and 05/09/15 two scooters were stolen from Springfield Avenue, Malpas.
Between 08:30 and 11:45 on 09/09/15 a house burglary occurred on Back Lane, Malpas. Detectives from Chester Local Policing Unit are investigating. A blue estate vehicle was seen in the area at the time of the offence. Please contact us on 101 if you witnessed any suspicious behavior.  

Monthly Priorities
To remind you all, our three monthly priorities for Chester Rural in September are:
Road Safety – Speeding and parking issue remain a major priority for our rural communities and we will continue to use preventative and enforceable methods to improve the safety on our roads.
Drug Use/Supply in Frodsham/Helsby- We have received a number of reports of possible drug use/dealing and will pro-actively target these offenders and reassure local communities
100 Days of Rural Crime – PCSO’s and beat managers will partake in policing operations and attend rural events to champion this force wide operation, reassure communities and target those committing crime in rural areas. 
In the September End of Month Update I will report on how we have actioned these monthly priorities.
