  1. A pair of vehicle registration plates was found secreted in a hedge at Eaton last Sunday. These were stolen earlier from a vehicle in Winsford. Police are carrying out enquiries to try to establish who took them and also to see if they have been used in the commission of any other crimes.
  2. On Sunday night, a large Victorian chimney pot was stolen from a front garden in Malpas. Regular readers may remember that a heavy garden bench was stolen from a front garden in Malpas a few weeks ago. Please be mindful that someone may be targeting items from gardens in the locality.
  3. In the early hours of Wednesday morning, an offender has entered two vehicles parked on a driveway in Pulford. The vehicles had not been locked. A few weeks ago, there was a spate of similar thefts in the area and I urged residents to ensure that they locked their vehicles and did not leave valuable items in vehicles overnight. I would urge residents to pay extra attention to their security, as it would appear that the thief may be active again.
  4. On Thursday, a male called at an old persons home in Norley, claiming to have cleaned her windows. When she went to find payment, the male entered the house and stole property. Please warn any elderly relatives and neighbours to be cautious about people knocking at their doors without appointments.
  5. Building developments in both Malpas and Frodsham have had property stolen from them this week. Because building sites, by necessity, have expensive equipment stored on them and because the buildings are sometimes not particularly secure, they often attract thieves. In order to deter thieves from developments in your area, please do your best to make it appear that you have a watching brief over them, and report any unusual activity on such sites, to the police.
  6. On Friday, a caravan was stolen from an address near Tarporley. With the onset of nicer weather, many caravan owners may be getting their caravans out of winter storage. Please ensure that they are properly secured with wheel clamps and hitch locks to prevent them being taken while you prepare them for the summer season.
  7. In the early hours of Sunday morning, a male started up a chainsaw in Frodsham town centre and threatened a group of people. The male has been arrested and charged with Affray and the chainsaw seized. No one was hurt during the incident.
