Mid-Cheshire Astronomical Group

Mid-Cheshire Astronomical Group was founded in February 2013. Set up by a group of keen amateur astronomers, its goal is to provide a platform for everybody in the Mid-Cheshire area with an interest in astronomy to go out observing and enjoy the incredible things the universe has to offer.

You do NOT need  any prior knowledge or equipment – just an interest in the cosmos and enthusiasm to learn about it!

In March 2015 the club relocated its base to Delamere Forest in order to take advantage of some of the darkest skies in Cheshire.

Catering for astronomers of any age, interest or experience the club meets on the last Friday of every month in the Forest Explorers classroom (behind the visitors centre).

Meetings start at 7.30pm and finish at 9.30pm, with group observing in the Old Pale car park afterwards if it’s clear.
