Please note that the local police station 0845 telephone numbers are not staffed 24 hours a day and that there may be some delay in responding to any messages left. 
 

1. On Wednesday night, a number of vehicles in Frodsham were broken into. Police were able to identify the offender and arrested him the following day. He has been charged with a number of offences.
2. Also in Frodsham this week, a smaller number of works vans have been broken into overnight. Police are continuing to investigate this spate of thefts from vans, but until the offender is caught, it is important to empty any works tools out of vans overnight, to make sure that there are additional locks fitted and to park your van in such a way as to make it difficult to break into or where it is in clear view.
3. Thefts from housing development building sites are a constant issue, with lead and other valuable metals being stolen. If you adjoin any such development or have cause to drive through or pass any, please keep your eyes open for any suspicious vehicles or people there at unusual times of day, and report this to the police.
4. On Tuesday, police took a report of a house burglary in Wells Close, Mickle Trafford which appears to have occurred during the evening. Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious vehicles or people around the estate during the evening.
5. In Lower Wych, near Malpas, a heavy garden seat was stolen from a front garden on Friday night. This is quite an unusual theft and would have required a van in order to transport the heavy seat.
6. Local officers have made a number of arrests this week of drink drivers. Two of them who were arrested on the same night were both more than three times over the legal limit! One was arrested after they crashed into a wall and the other as a result of a member of the public reporting the driver weaving all over the road. It is very fortunate that this person did call the police, as it is quite possible that without this call, the driver would have carried on and had a head on collision with another car, with potential deadly consequences. Please do not hesitate to report potential drink drivers – it helps to keep the roads safe for you, your families and everyone else.
