Walk England have launched a new website - http://www.walk4life.info - as part of the "Walk4Life Miles" project, which started in mid-September.

The Walk4Life Miles project will deliver 2,012 way-marked one mile walking routes in local communities, as well as provide a unique online database of short walks.

The http://www.walk4life.info website is a brand new public facing web portal where people can find walking routes or create their own, record their walking activity, find local events, join groups and challenge themselves and others to walk more.

It's aimed at people who don't currently take enough exercise, but is useful for other people too. It also provides a place to find a walk, and to map your own walk. You can save walks to your profile, and record when you have completed them. The site builds up a record of your walking activity.

You can search for local walks either directly from the site or by clicking http://www.walk4life.info/walksearchadv?walksearch=Kingsley%2C+Cheshire+West+and+Chester&searchBtn=Search&chsn=1&searchType=typeAll&radius=10 for a list of those that have been mapped around Kingsley. This list should grow as more of us add our walks to it!

The Kingsley and Newton Village Institute is located on Top Road in Kingsley. There are 2 tennis courts, a mini tennis court and a crown green bowling green. The main room is available for hire for events with the use of a kitchen and bar available. There is weekly line dancing, art group, snooker and quizzes as well as indoor bowls sessions in winter. There are a range of tennis groups for adults and children and coaching can be arranged. There are also thriving bowling teams.
