Kingsley Village
in the heart of Cheshire

About us:

The Kingsley Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group (NPSG) is working on creating a Neighbourhood Plan for our parish. The NPSG seeks to guide the growth and development of the Kingsley Parish over the next 12 years putting in place policies by which future planning applications will be determined.

Once approved the Neighbourhood Plan will become a local planning policy document that will allow the community to help positively shape the future of the area

What is Neighourhood Planning?

It’s an opportunity for local communities to influence the future of where they live.

It allows communities to come together and have a say about what level of development they would like to see, where they want it and over what length of time.

A Neighbourhood Plan need to be in line with national planning policy, with the strategic vision for the wider area set by the local authority.

During the summer of 2011 every household in Kingsley received a very comprehensive survey and more than 300 were returned with the data being input to a database. The results were presented in graphical form to a series of Open Meetings where the data was considered and plans made about what to do next. This document was released in 2012 and summarises the responses and proposed actions set forward for the future of the village.
