Kingsley Village
in the heart of Cheshire

The Kingsley Neighbourhood Planning Steering Group (NPSG) would like to ask you some questions to help us find out what the community values most. Your answers will help us develop the vision and objectives for our Neighbourhood Plan.

You can find the survey here as well as more info about what a Neighbourhood Plan is. If you would prefer a paper copy of the survey this will be delivered to households and businesses in September, but if you can complete it online before then we would appreciate it. Thank you

Minutes from the NPSG meetings are available for download in PDF format. You will need Adobe Reader installed (click the logo to download)

Kingsley Transition initiative (KTI) is about building greater resilience in our community. The nature of the Transition movement is such that it links together ideas and initiatives that grow communities and significantly reduces the impact of some pressing global challenges such as "peak oil" and "climate change". The academic discussions on "peak oil" and "climate change" are often too broad and too dense for practicable application, but what they mean in practice is the cost of living is increasing through higher prices at the pump, higher food prices and higher energy bills. The Government's Chief Science Adviser, Prof. John Beddington considers these increases to be trending towards a "perfect storm" by 2030. Resilience, adapting to change, seeking a smarter solution through transition can take many forms. In Kingsley there are many activities and businesses that all play a part in enabling us to be a more resilient:
