Week ending 4 September 2020
Photos available at https://photos.app.goo.gl/tw7pLbepjnt9xpK89
Hi All,
As promised here is an update as to where we are up to.
Superstructures are going well, the flats had their concrete hollowcore beams put on yesterday (03/09/20) so that will be the last time we need a crane on site.
Plots 11 and 10 will have the roof trusses going on next week and then the soffits and facias will go on and im looking at felt and tile somewhere around the 16th September. The rest of the plots should all start to follow suit then so there should be a continuation of trusses etc right round to plots 1 and 2 and also the flats which will be last.
I am afraid the road has not been as smooth going. Without going into too much detail the road has been held up by paperwork and red tape. The sub base has been tested to runway standards and has passed every time. Last week it had 25 tests on it and passed everyone so I am hoping there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we can finally get some tarmac down. The minute we do I will look at organising the open morning. Im hoping it will be soon because all the plots are at different stages.
My apologies for any stray wagons that have ignored the route we send them to get here, all companies are supplied with a map and directions to keep them out of the village, its not easy to police but we do try. If any do stray it would help me if you could get the companies name and let me know, that way I can deal with them direct to avoid it happening again.
Kind Regards
IAN FORBER.

Please note: the table has now been moved to the bottom of the drive of Mount Pleasant (heading down Top Road towards Brookside/The red Bull).
Please see the message below from Chris Woulds:
We are unable to do the usual fundraising event for Macmillan Cancer Care this year so have been trying to think of other ways of raising money. I have some surplus fruit and veg which I will put on the table outside The Hurst Chapel over the weekend and next weekend, with a jar for donations.
If you have surplus and want to help could you please put it on the table too?
Thanks
KINGSLEY PARISH COUNCIL
Kingsley Voluntary Group Hardship Grant Applications Open
The Parish Council have agreed to extend the deadline to 11th September to encourage more groups to apply.
Kingsley Parish Council recently noted the hardship felt by some of the local youth and voluntary groups in the village as a result of reduced fundraising opportunities to underpin their activities.
The Parish Council are pleased to open a short and limited grant scheme for such groups to apply for a ‘Hardship Grant’.

Detectives are urging people to stay vigilant following several reports of scam phone calls purporting to be from Microsoft. In Cheshire there have been several reports of residents receiving phone calls from fraudsters posing as workers from Microsoft. The scammers claim to be computer security engineers and tell victims that their computers are at a security risk. They then say that a security check needs to be performed and if the victim agrees, the scammers can then gain remote access to the computer. Final update on Town Farm Quarry, CrowtonFinal update on Town Farm Quarry, Crowton KPC Meeting 25th August 2020 We learned last week that Casey (Enviro) the quarry operators have finally vacated the former quarry site and a local farmer is now seeding what is restored pastureland. All previous permissions to extract and infill have now expired and will not be renewed. Town Farm Quarry had been in operation for well over 18 years. It had been the subject of a series of new applications and extensions of existing permissions for extending the operation over that time and bringing in infill material as well as sand extraction. Kingsley Parish Council were represented at an Appeal in 2017 when regrettably the Planning Inspectorate extended the operation. Three Parish Councils objected to a request for a further extension to operations in 2018 and were represented at the Cheshire West and Chester Planning Committee hearing which then finally refused to permit any further development at the site.
