Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council
Further to the survey earlier in the year Cheshire West & Cheshire have announced the start of the contentious new bin collections.
Jo, a local farmer, has offered the following advice with regards hedge cutting season:
It’s that time of year when farmers are out cutting hedges so could we please ask everyone to be careful when planning to pass a tractor with hedge cutter attached. If you’re on foot / horse/ bicycle please wait until the driver sees you and stops the machine. The cutting blades are spinning incredibly fast and any stray piece of hedge / shrubbery etc. flying through the air could be dangerous . Please take care and be safe.

Action Fraud has received over 700 reports from members of the public about fake emails purporting to be from the NHS. The emails claim to be able to provide people with a “digital passport” that “proves you have been vaccinated against COVID-19”. These emails are fake, and the links within them lead to genuine-looking websites that steal your personal and financial information. How to protect yourself: In the UK, coronavirus vaccines will only be available via the National Health Services of England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland. You can be contacted by the NHS, your employer, a GP surgery or pharmacy local to you, to receive your vaccine. Remember, the vaccine is free of charge. At no point will you be asked to pay.
How to report scams: If you receive a call you believe to be fraudulent, hang up. If you are suspicious about an email you have received, you can report it by forwarding the email to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Suspicious text messages can also be reported by forwarding them to the number: 7726 (it’s free of charge). If you believe you are the victim of a fraud, please report this to Action Fraud as soon as possible by calling 0300 123 2040 or visiting www.actionfraud.police.uk. |

Have you ever heard about a bus service that changes its route and times to suit passengers?
Cheshire West and Chester Council would like your thoughts to help with the planning of an innovative new bus service. In addition to the current bus services operating along regular routes at specific times, imagine being able to book a bus journey, to a local destination of your choice, that will pick you up at, or near, your home, at a time convenient for your needs. Such journeys may be to places of work, to get you out for leisure and recreation, or to the cinema and other evening activities.
